OUTLINE: Comprising three interrelated modules, Arthritis Essentials® provides a comprehensive knowledge base for management of arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions, and covers anatomy
relevant to arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions; the main categories and types of musculoskeletal conditions; and best practice management strategies. Each module contains information, graphics, embedded resources and some videos.
ASSESSMENT. Each module has a quiz which will assess your understanding of the content. At the end of the three modules you will be asked to complete and submit answers to two case studies. Each case study includes short answer questions designed to assess your understanding of the content through its application to the outlined scenario. You will be asked to identify the condition, management strategies and to select resources specific to the ‘individuals’ featured in the case studies. Completion of the online unit, including all assessment tasks, should take approximately 7 hours. To complete this unit you will need access to the internet and the ability to access Adobe (PDF) files.
Completion of Arthritis Essentials® is a requisite for anyone seeking to become licenced by Arthritis Australia as a Joint Movement Leader.
