VIC Call To Arms
(Scroll down for downloadable social tiles)
Fitness Australia in partnership with VicActive is uniting in a “call to arms” this Thursday as they push for gyms, fitness facilities, Yoga and Pilates studios to be allowed to open in Victoria.
“Call to arms” events will be staged right across Victoria at 10.30 am this Thursday 10 June, with Fitness Australia encouraging all business owners to simultaneously post and share their support across all social channels.
It’s imperative that our community makes a stand, but we need to ensure that everyone is following the current lockdown restrictions at all times.
What can you do?
We are encouraging all Gym, Fitness Facility, Pilates and Yoga studio owners to take a photo out the front of their closed facility and post the image on their social channels following the instructions and guidelines below.
The weather forecast is heavy rain, which visually works in our favour. It demonstrates it’s not always possible to exercise outside especially in Victoria. Please still venture out and take the image standing in the rain.
Details:
Thursday 10th of June 2021.
Start posting from 8.00 am
Main events are at 10.30 am.
Melbourne Action Event Guidelines:
- You must wear a mask in the image.
- The image must be taken outside the facility as current restrictions prevent you from entering the venue.
- Make sure if you are in Metro Melbourne you don’t travel more than the 10km restrictions, please ask one of your team who lives within the zone to take the image on your behalf. We need to ensure we are not breaking any rules.
- No images of large groups. 1 to 2 people maximum and you need to be standing 1.5m apart.
- Please use the tiles attached
- Please use the Hashtag #emptyexercisefacilitieshelpnoone
- Please tag all of the following people and media.

Again it’s imperative we have no large groups and all current restrictions are followed.
