Fitness Australia is proud to announce the winners of the #ActiveAchievers & #ActiveCommunities Awards that will be presented at this year’s Gala Dinner at Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse on October 14.
A total of 15 Awards have today (Tuesday 20 September) been announced across both categories, following some 1500 nominations being received.
Fitness Australia CEO, Bill Moore, described the Awards as a recognition of the achievements of trainers, instructors and their group exercise programs across Australia.
“These awards represent everything that is good about our industry,” said Bill.
“The dedication of trainers and the positive outcome for their clients combine to generate an outcome that is the very reason that we all do what we do.
“It’s the most fundamental expression of what our amazing industry stands for.”
The inaugural #ActiveCommunities Award highlights the Gyms, PT studios and clubs that positively impact the lives of people in their communities through their group exercise programs.
The Fitness Australia Awards program has given trainers and their clients a way to share their fitness journey to inspire others.
“This year we heard from trainers and business owners who engage a wide variety of people from pregnant women and older adults, to people living with a disability and people in rural communities without access to a gym,” said Bill.
All State and Territory winners will come together for the 2016 Awards Dinner at Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse on Friday 14 October.
