Active Farmers are organising is a charity bike ride, to raise awareness of the importance of physical and mental health and community resilience.
Kent Williams from entoure.com.au is on board to facilitate the event, with 100% of the money raised going to assist the 35 existing Active Farmers communities, as well as facilitate the introduction of more throughout Australia in the near future and health related workshops.
The ride will involve approximately 480kms over the three days from Forbes - Young - Temora - Mangoplah for a grand finale woodshed party. It will cost each rider approximately $750 to ride, covering accommodation, meals, a riding kit, safety and entertainment. Each rider will be asked to raise between $1-$2k for Active Farmers with a vision to build stronger and more resilient farming communities.
Active Farmers is a not-for-profit organisation reaching people living in small rural and remote farming communities to provide fitness, mental health and well being programs. Since partnering with DeltaAg in early 2017 Active Farmers has expanded to embrace 23 small farming communities stretching from Tasmania to outback Queensland.
Active Farmers are the winner of the Community Excellence Award for the Australian Fitness Awards 2019.
