Fitness Australia announce a record number of candidates contesting for a position on its Board of Directors
Voting is open to Fitness Australia’s AusREP Members and Business Members between 1st and 18th November 2019
Fitness Australia, the peak industry association, is looking to appoint three new Directors at the Annual General Meeting on 26th November.
AusREPs and Business Members have the chance to cast their vote as of 1st November to determine the three candidates who will join Fitness Australia's Board of Directors.
“I’m encouraged by the calibre of nominations we have received, in both the Business Member and AusREP categories,” says Jayne Blake, Chairperson for Fitness Australia.
“Having so many talented individuals believe in the work that Fitness Australia is doing and wanting to contribute to the future of our industry and the health of Australians is a testament to the work that our CEO Barrie Elvish and the team have done over the last year.”
“It’s particularly heartening to see the positive response we’ve received since announcing our recent historic constitutional change that allows for AusREPs to be represented on the Board.”
The Board is responsible for providing strategic leadership to Fitness Australia within a framework of prudent and effective controls and establishing the organisation’s vision, mission, values and standards of conduct in the interests of industry members, stakeholders and the communities in which it operates.
