This practical distance education workshop is ideal for health professionals who are looking to improve their knowledge on fascial trains and how to utilise the foam roller and spikey ball to their full potential.
We will review the anatomy and function of fascia within the body and its relationship to tensegrity. The fascial trains within the body will be examined and practical myofascial releases to correct common fascial dysfunctions will be demonstrated. A comprehensive practical section will include stability and mobility exercises for you to include in your clients program and have them functioning at their best.
Active Anatomy Health Professional Education was founded by Merrin Martin 10 years ago. During this time she has been developing and presenting workshops to health professionals all around Australia in addition to working as a physiotherapist in her clinic in Sydney. Merrin has extensive lecturing experience within the fitness industry and is regarded as an expert in her role as educator in specific exercise programs & managing injuries. She delivers regular presentations & workshops to a number of institutions, including conferences such as FILEX. She is an APA, ESSA and Sports Physiotherapy member with a particular interest in exercise rehabilitation for all injuries, dance and kids sports injuries.
Active Anatomy was founded to help bridge the gap between physiotherapy treatment in the clinic and returning to full function and sport in the gym or on the field. All of our staff have Exercise Science and/or Physiotherapy degrees and all treat clients in the clinic which makes us experts in educating health professionals on how to restore optimal function in different areas of the body following injury.
Active Anatomy runs face to face workshops Australia wide on rehabilitation concepts in addition to distance education workshops. New courses are being continually developed due to the constantly changing evidence available.
